Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Launch Dev Diary.

Today(27/09/24) We have had some news about the new first and big patch they are doing to make the game more better to play, In the patch is Servers issues, Optimization, Season 1, Offline/solo features, Cross-play, Cross-region, AIs, META, Compensation and Conclusion. There’s are the big problems from the 05/09/24 what the gold players had to deal with well playing the game, If you want to watch there video you can by clicking here. I will also be doing a small video soon to share this blog with what I think too. I will always do my best to be on the side and be equal. Yes I love the game and played for years but that won’t go to anything I will say time to time I will mention my own experiance in the game. But anyway lets start the photo under is a new one and starting 30/09/24 I will be posting 1 photo a week on Facebook, Instagram and one video on tiktok and youtube with a stream every Wednesday I have got a new PlayStation account just for streaming.

I think I need to say I am not sponsed by TDU, Just hope for the best for the game, I’ve watched there video and other YouTubers videos a and I fully understand from both sides, Some YouTubers say it’s old news yes I think the same and they are still in the videos talking about the betas, Just take on board they are watching you and might be also reading this but I am trying to be on the outside of it all and looking at it from there side and from the player side too, I do think if they not carfull they will kill the game if thay won’t liaise to the players who is playing the game, Yes a lot of stuff have been fixed and putting all of there time to computer players it’s making console player look small and not worth take it by PS5 player who feel’s like it’s how it is.

Servers issues

If you are one of them from the early beta times and seen what servers issues they had then it was nothing to the server problems from the gold launch date, I can remember when we told them about it and it got fixed fast but it was a close beta that was from the early days and on computer, But the game had there beta for console and knowing it was a closed beta for gold and silver players only we as players know what was coming and it did but I do know many players said it and I was one who shared to to them the idea was to say “before you launch” the full game why not but the beta on a open beta for just somedays was thinking three and that will show if the servers are ready, We as players know it won’t be but no thay just keeped the launch day and let the servers speak and they did and also the players, Some let it go and waited some after somedays left and never came back some came back 2 weeks after, I was one of them players who just stuck at it and played the game with the bugs and just keeped reporeding them, The crazy thing was the PlayStation was the most wouse place for the bugs/issues/problems the Computer was next then XBOX, But the servers issues was silly at one time I only can play the game from 9am to 6pm if I was lucky if not 4am to 5pm and then it didn’t save the game or the roads, Money and more or sometimes you can get in and it said server has kicked you from server and then you can’t race at all, or if you was lucky and not get any of that and got in and got to a race you got kicked from the race and then the others never worked. But with all of that I still had a fun time.

Optimization

This is making them look bad I belief, There main players on PC yes PC is the most played and can be the most better place to play the game because of the stuff in it what you can but into the computer, But GHESS WHAT! you also have it on PS5 and XBOX so don’t forget about them players who also payed for your game to play the game, The PS5 and XBOX also needs your time and problems fixed too. Yes there is a patch coming for PS5 and XBOX but why not just do it to fix all the problems first to get the game sorted then go from there?

Season 1

It sounds like they are going to be putting a update into the patch aswell so longer down thr line more problems to come but the good thing is the season starts and a free new car if you win that how it comes over, Also I think to keep the players happy in long term they trying to keep the updates and patchs into one to keep the down time low.

Offline/solo features, Cross-play, Cross-region (Feedback they say)

They in place just used the wrong words and in this case I believe it, They used this part to try and run aways from the main and one of there big problems with the game and I believe it is either offline/solo/cross-play. all of them are needed in the game to keep it going I think but they are still back in the time of the betas well the videos are, If they just use the player and YouTubers who is trying to help them and keep the game going I know I can say that for myself they will make the game better and keep it going for longer then TDU 2, I fully understand why they don’t want to make the game like TDU 2 but they are using ideas but why not learn from it to? The problem is not getting other players it’s not been able to play or start a race, I like racing other random players but I do also understand some don’t yes its a MMO game but so is World of Warcraft and thats got a solo part? It’s also sad to hear end of game mode dose this mean the game is already gone? I hope not, I do think it’s not the offline mode is not coming, Solo will be the first to come, I think they are hoping that will get more played yes it will but I believe it should of been in the game anyway when in game sometimes can be solo anyway. If you added a offline mode that will make players happy and more able to play and race and drive around and not worrying about saving games.

Cross-play let me make it simple for you no there is not coming I believe if you think its is and why please comment, But it comes over like they don’t what to do and it might cost a lot to do and more work, They but it down to adding more problems in game but I have played also of cross play game s and it make them better, I understand about the wait time and lag but if the made ps5 players mostly play PS5 players and like myself if I know someone on XBOX and let me to play them I will be happy to play with the lag and slow speed and more wait time so I can play and talk to my xbox friend, But I do believe its not coming. They are right I do like to know the players on the map ingame is from England and I can chat and not worry about other county but if I want to play players from other countries I should be able too.

AIs, META

In TDUSC the AI at the start are bad but as you improve so does the AI and become unbeatable. But look at it as a player and playing other players you and everybody is getting better too so why not allow the AI get better yes they driving can be questable. Look at there skills as levels raise I think that is the best way to look at it. So your driving and races get better and harder too.

The other big problem in the game, Yes that is great the leveling of the AI are good and fun to try and keep winning it makes your driving more better and playing more fun, That is me, But I also understand where most of the players are coming from, The AI are crazy I have had many races when they should be off the road myself but they saying they are working to make it better,

They tried to make it fare to play if you are playing a online mode player,

The metas are about the cars what are better in there class, Lets take the Daily drive what is the Aute TT RS and that can be with out the upgrades but with the upgrades it’s better, But they are talking about moving stuff around, Like the TT RS it might not get any better car for Daily races it will be another car. But this might be not a problem but it might be a good I think, It might make the players keep on there toes and make the gameplay better for them all. They are saying Meta is not cheating and they are happy for players to use it, I think so its part of playing MMO its so your can bet the AI and other players and get the most of the game, I must use the meta myself and never known it so I do believe its part of the gameplay.

Compensation

The important part for mostly the gold players I believe because when the silver players came the lot of the problems have gone, But by the sound of it there is nothing coming, I think they going to try and keep it going until we forget about it, It will cost a lot to fix this, But I think like players like myself who keeped playing through the problems should get something there was a lot of players like that, Theres players are your loyal players and they are the ones to keep happy,

Conclusion (The happy them)

Yes I do believe they have made a good game,But it can be improved in time but yes they should be happy with themselves but they might of made it to hard to keep up with the game, But I think because of TDU 2 and trying to make the game better then and that is giving the players the problems if we do they have it hard, Yes the upcoming season what are coming should make the game more better and more fun but, I think they are trying to hard, Yes in TDU 2 the upgreads or add ons will come intime but the game is still fun, As a youtube and streamer it’s nice to know someone from TDU is watching you so yes they are taking on board what we as players are saying, I know sometimes it looks likey they aren`t but if they spend time watching that what the game to work.

I do want to say I am one of them TDU long term players who love the game and love whatit is all about what it stands for, Not a lot of games are like me, I am one of them players what will always think its better on computer for what you can add in the computer and the photo side of it all, The main play of the game is driving and testing cars or getting them cars what you dream of getting, and getting photo’s of the cars in a nice way, The game in my eye will never be a racing game sadly TDUSC is but I before driving around and not racing so it’s nice to do that.
