CHITUBOX VS ELEGOO SATELITE
From August 31 2022 and having my first Resin printer I have always used Chitubox until March 26 2025.I found Elegoo Satelite after looking on there website and looking on the internet about it there is not a lot out there no how to set it up or use it, But youtubers and Elegoo say it’s for and most of it is free, I thought to myself using Elegoo printer’s and resin it might pay to use it.
I started to try to use it and built on it, I got 2 or 4 simple test print and they came out good and got the settings right, When I came to print a model nothing worked just got fails I’ve even tried hollowing and not hollowing that didn’t work, I gone back to test printing this time I used supports and that worked, Using the detail test print to try and see if it that, It worked and showed me the settings are good, Then I tried a face and didn’t hollow it this did work then after with a other face same one I hollowed it out this one didn’t work, I knew after that the inside needs something or something like that, Looked everywhere and also tried to add supports inside but can’t find nothing.
After 70+ fails and not getting a model and after 9+ week on it and trying to get it working, Even the setup is bad and it’s not that easy to use, It’s free yes and if it’s working it will be better then Chitubox I believe but because there is not a lot of info out there and most users use Chitubox and to use all the stuff you can use on the Elegoo Stelite even cutting is free, The built plate is wrong to, I think there is more work needed on Elegoo Stelite and it needs fixing all the problems and make it easier on using it, I think it will take over Chitubox.
Chitubox not to happy you have to pay but you can pay for every month, yearly this one is there best seller or you can pay for 3 year’s the subscribe is crazy Monthly ¢15.99 it won’t go to pounds sorry, for yearly person ¢169, Team ¢299 or 3 years ¢430 and what I can see is there is not a lot out of them all, I’ve not yet used pro, Will soon get a free card for a month and I will do a new blog sharing what I find, It seems like the free side has got a limit on slicing now on pro you are getting unlimited, But that limit might be more then you will ever get if you are doing as a hobby. You are limited on what you have on the pro you have everything and more your account is locked to one device on pro you can have it on two. I’ve started to see the supports can go over the top and on the pro you can do more with the supports and for that I am thinking to go to pro, If I do I will go for the 3 year lock in better but not going to do that yet, I’ve found there are other slicers out there for resin so going to be doing more blogs like this.
WITCH ONE TO PICK
How people and for what you can find about it I think chitubox will be the best it get and to save on money and supports I think pro is good too.
