HOW DUDDLES SHOP BOX UP ORDERS

Hello my name is Daniel Dudley the owner of Dudley’s Hub and the host of Duddles Shop, In this blog I want to share how I do my orders and why, I just want to say first like the past blogs This is how Duddles Shop making cards and How Duddles Shop makes envelope and I’m now bringing how Duddles Shop makes box up order’s, Like how I work for everything in my shop, I won’t sell what I won’t want or need I make them or 3D print to help me first, So I do the same for my shipping what I mean is, Theres days lots of shops don’t email you to tell you they are doing the order then where they are and end of the order I send a email saying it’s with royal mail and 4 days after I email again asking if the order is there and see if they liked what they ordered so they can give feedback if needed, I do it because when I order stuff I get angry when I don’t know what is going on and where the order is I understand big place can’t do it and how long it can take out of your day and they get a email with what they ordered, The emails I send are not talking about the stuff they ordered it’s to update them what I’m doing they order and the one after I might have to update you what is going on and if I have to delay with the order it will update them about what happening, Then the middle email it will tell you what is going on like going to royal mail, Last one Is after 4 days to see if got to them safely, The boxing side is the same It is upsetting getting something broken you have ordered and upsetting for you, I over wrap the orders to try keep them  safe to the customer and try and keep it waterproof, The way I do it is not recommended even from me but I do it because I feel good when I do it and I think and believe  90% of orders will be safe in shipping, I use Royal Mail because it’s English and when I started my shop Royal Mail was close of going out of business I like the think I have helped keep Royal Mail, and I also say shipping is not part of the order it will just pay for the Royal Mail the wrapping is not even added.

EMAIL

Like I said I wrap  because I feel good knowing the customer should be happy, and updating on where the order is, and sometime it’s the next day so it’s just good, If there is a problem with anything and it might be delayed in any way I will email the customer to tell them what is going on, Then another email and this is the last order email this is to tell you it’s in Royal Mails hands, and what they paid for, Then 4 days after the shipping day I will send another email asking if the order has got to them safe and if not I will ask them if they want they want they money back or a new one. But if there is nothing, I ask for Google feedback and sometimes they give one by email.

I know I can’t do anything when it’s in Royal Mail’s hands. But I always give Royal Mail the custom This is reason for the email, so the customer gets updated.

But I do it that way because I think it’s good to know where the order is and why it’s taking so long, and because I do 3D orders before sending it me and the customer has been talking to get the 3D model right, So the first email saying I am getting it ready for shipping and then say what problems is going on and in Royal Mail hands they know what is going on, It helps both sides.

BOXING UP ORDER

I want to say first is if I order anything I save all the boxes and wrapping in the box I like bubble warp, What I am trying to say is re-use boxes and everything that is why I can overdo it. When It comes to wrapping it’s free, and I to have happy customer then not a sad one because of the delivery driver, And I have to warp them anyway so why not add that one little layer and safety, So this is why I can say shipping is only paying for itself because I only have to pay for the paper for the recycled and handwritten note and the shipping label and I try and re-use the shipping label paper to do the handwritten note, the recycled is Dudley’s Hub made, I always like to belief the customer can re-use the bubble wrap after and that will help everybody, but a lot of thought of the box the box I make the box fit the order, I mean is If your order something small I will give it as a small letter and still make it fit the handwritten note and invoice and the label so it’s a little bigger than the order but not a card size I do it that way so it is safe and overly not brake able in shipping and to keep the cost down for both parties, the box is made to fit the order, In the box like every order the customer will get a handwritten note, and Duddles Shop sticker, and all of that is free, Then the warping side is also free and re-used with the box, This means I am saving both parties save money and help save the world, I try and keep the sides of the box safe with cut off boxes on the side and the big orders will be have on the bottom and top and all 4 sides will have cardboard on them, Then bubble warp the small orders then if cards using warping in the handwritten note and invoice, the card will be in there with the sticker. I do the handwritten note because I have got dyslexia and they will know it’s by me, and shows what it means to me, The Free sticker of Duddles Shop Logo is a new think, It’s just a freebee. And I try and add little free stuff in a order too.

Like I to say I don’t recommend doing it that way. But if you do it the same way please do it right and save and recycle it helps keep the cost down and helps the world.

So again this is something I can do because it’s low cost and make the order waterproof so if you ordered a card it’s not damaged I remember my first card I didn’t do that and it got damaged and I had to send a new one out so cost more than having the order wrapped in tape, I but the label on first wrap just that in tape then get the order boxed then get a sticker but it on the place where I closed it then taped it up, There is two good things why it’s good 1 nothing can full out, and 2 can’t get wet.

I just believe the way I do it shows my care and my thought to the customer and what they mean to me.

Duddles Shop is not just a shop yes, I need it but it’s more of a way to show my work and show people like me can do what is needed, and still support others and themselves.

There is no limit in life, the only limit is the one you make.
