Welcome to Dudley’s Blogs this blog is by Daniel Dudley the owner of Dudley’s Scale Model Car’s, I’ve been building models now for 6 years and in those years I have collected these tools, For about 4 or 5 years I only had the hobby knife and the cutters and after time I found and learned from others the cutters and knife I have are not the must have but good to have the must have is the hobby knife and cutters and paint if your doing models only but the others will help. TOOL'S I HAD FROM THE START
If you know my backstory you would know I had nothing in the hobby and real life just the very basic’s and it was the same in the hobby, I started with just a cutter and knife, So you don’t have to have the top tools to get the job done yes they do and will help and make it more easier. But it’s not needed at the start.
The trusted classic and most needed tool in the hobby, and it can be used for a lot of things, The Hobby Knife, This one you see is my late mum’s hobby knife she used it to make greeting cards and now I use it for my scale model building,
I have now got 4 Hobby knifes it’s not need but when I started doing other stuff I was loosing my knife and I had I left over what was in the box and I used that for resin only use like my resin printer and my resin handmade stuff so I am not making a mess. In time I got 2 others the one what comes in twos I use one for my cards and the other for my filiment, Like I said it’s not needed but you will know where they are and will keep it all clean.

And a other must have and wire Cutters You use these to take off the parts off spocketts
The ones I had was from my dad who used them a lot and I needed to get my own and these are the one I got these but were not good for the job and time they was ok, Before there I had wire cutters came with 2 the best one broke and this is the time I had a 3D printer and the other set was used on the printer so I got these Theres took me to 2024.
Please remember getting all of these tools took me about 5 years getting them it might not take you that long but for me and where I was in my life it took me that long, I want to also say yes there’s tools are nice to have but it’s not needed.
This is a Swann -Morton Standard Scalpel, I sadly can’t find mine because I had 3 Blades in the handle but you can get this one for £7 at amazon and you can get the blades for £22 at amazon pack of 100. I also got a new hobby knife smaller blade but I never liked them, I don’t feel safe with them. I did try others but the same small blades are good but not for nomal use.
I was learning still when I got there I have got 3 but they all look the same its the size and numbers, The first one I got was a Tamiya Sharp Pointed Side Cutter For Plastic – Slim Jaw, TAMIYA Diagonal Cutter Pointed Plastic and Tamiya Soft Metal/Plastic Side Cutters Model Making Accessories, Craft Tools, High Quality Model Making Accessories. But like always you find you don’t need them all just one set but it’s good to have the others in my video I show you why.
There’s are something you will never think of getting untill you try it or someone tells you about it. I was looking at someones photo on social media at there model and I seen there theres was driffient there are other out there but they are only Toenail Clippers for Ingrown Toenail again in the video it will show why it’s a great thing to get.
This is great but not what is needed but great and safe, Having this will make your time better and faster and stress free, But if you want this or getting it please watch this video before getting it, Also when you do get this please order or look for one of USB C Charger, Anker Nano II I know that one is a lot of money but it’s the one they told me to get and it work I don’t know about any other if you want to read more about this why not become a member of my newsletter and you will get told first, But getting the Hozo chanced my life,
