How Dudley’s Handmade Shop make’s Card’s
In 2019 I lost everything even my mum she passed end of 2019 she was before lockdown and my last step to my darkness and if you want to read more you can by clicking here.
We all know what is 2020 lockdown and what happened but end of 2021 I found myself re-building my life with Scale Models and end of 2022 we moved home and found all my mum’s cards she handmade and still took them, We didn’t know what to do with them, and we still forgot them untill 2024 when we moved in to the garage to use as a hobby room and we found the card’s again and I was looking at ways of making money to keep my hobby going, I started selling my mum’s cards on eBay. Because everybody forgot them and I found them and I used them to keep my hobby going and I knew my mum will be happy about that if she was here she would of kept them going and she would of been happy to do that after some months I ran out and stopped selling cards and moved to my scale models But I had people emailing me to ask when the cards are coming back, After that and seen the card’s sold more I got myself a Explore 3 after going to Hobbycraft to get card stuff to start making cards I got the Cricut Explore 3 to make stickers and help with scale models like masking and decals learned I need a ink printer so I started to use the cutter on the printer to help make cards and then Explore put them one day and they was doing good and I kept doing that until 2025 I moved into a big shed and I started to 3D print and have a website and everything and I still sell cards but I am not on eBay no more. People liked my cards, I knew I have moved away from cards and knew I sale more then card’s but my goal is to help people to get cards and help the hobby I am in to so I sell paint and 3D parts too.
That is how I started but know you know about my back story here is how I do my cards.
DUDLEY'S WAY OF DOING CARDS
When I got there’s cutter printers I was selling cards anyway and I wanted to sell more cards, and the fast and easy way to start is to use these printers and I’ve got a Cricut explore 3 cutter and Cricut Joy Xtra, I use both and I don’t just use them for cards I also make stickers and more with them.
But I do make a lot of card’s using there’s, I got the Cricut Joy Xtra, This cutter is smaller then the Cricut explore 3 cutter and for that I use the cutter more now to cut cards and I am in time make stripes to cut for cards.
When I started the Cricut 3 had there brand cards and when I got it I was luck to get more of they stuff in the sale and I got a lot of cards of theys and I sold a lot and then I kept getting there brand card and just kept doing it, and now I just got the Cricut Joy Xtra had more card, that cutter also had more stuff to, I also got there brand tools and more mats and stuff as there’s.
I got a card cutter mat and I use that, I fold the card then cut the card paper to fit the mat, then place the card in the mat then go to the PC (Computer) Both printers can run on Bluetooth and the Cricut 3 can also run on cable but it’s easier to have it on wireless and at the moment my windows computer is not got Bluetooth but the good thing is you can get the cricut design space on my mac but I want it on my windows I will get something for that computer soon.
After I have done all of that I click on make it then I see this screen then click start (Go) Then the computer goes to the printer,
On the computer screen it will tell you to but the card mat in and on the cutter then it will just work.
Now it’s cutting I just leave and let it cut, But when it’s done it will just strip, On the Cricut 3 the card mat is bigger and you can do 4 cards at one time.
