IS THE ELEGOO FILAMENT CENTAURI CARBON GOOD FOR A BEGINNER?

Filament printing is how I started 3D printing, My first printer was a Creativity Ender 3 had it in 2022 and I didn’t find Filament fun or good for what I needed and I got my first resin printer a month after I picked up resin fast and the ender just started to pick up dust we moved work space and I tried again with the ender and found out it’s to cold and hard work setting it up and one wrong thing will make it not work so again gone back to resin and I moved to my own shed and I wanted to make more keyrings and more stuff and I looked around at filament printers and I found this Elegoo Centauri Carbon and it was in the sale yes got it for the cost the way I print is the hold way but the printer is a good one for me who is just re-starting and know a little about printing and also used the old gen printers. 

I’m not saying the printer is the best I know there is better ones and I also know by history Elegoo can be hard work trying to get parts or any type of support I have had 3 or 4 resin printers from them but that might be the time zone, The good thing about the printer is it’s a plug and go lets say it’s a bit more harder then the resin printer I had but it’s on the same lines, It’s simple I am trying to say. 

 I said I am coming back to filament printing after on and off with it in the past 3 years from when I did this blog 2025, This printer has made me come back and have fun with 3D filament printing and made me re-think of what I can do, Like most 3D printer users I started with mod the printers and my workspace for that part of my brand I also mod my resin printer and re-opened my YouTube channel and got lots of plans for the new year (2026) and I can’t wait to share.

I think if it’s good for someone who is coming back to filament printing and I think is a good starting point for beginners, Yes there are better ones out there but in time you might be able to find mods for what you need and them mods are free 90% of the time all of my mods at the moment are free, But I know most filament printer users want multi color 3d filament printer and sorry to say this printer can’t do that from stock but I hope in time them or someone will find a way to get a little mod for it I can’t see why they can’t do it but it’s not coming sadly, It’s not a problem for me the way I do it is print one color then the other it is not good for time but it work for me, I am mostly making keyrings anyway and if I am doing models I will be painting by hand so and sanding so I use one color so it’s no problem for me. There are printers out there for that use but I don’t know because I gone for a brand I know and I got this one I’m not that lucky and I had to buy it myself, But I have seen for the same lines of this printers there is a other but I am not saying nothing about that one because I don’t know nothing sorry,
